Dengue awareness program

Time: 6.15 am

Dengue, a mosquito-borne illness, has spread like wildfire throughout much of Bangladesh, including Dhaka. During the rainy season, Aedes mosquito larvae typically transmit the disease in abandoned tyres, tubes, flower pots, roofs of houses, and stagnant water that has been present for longer than three days. If you are a bit aware, controlling this illness is really simple. Houseyards should be kept tidy, breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes should be eliminated, and water that has been frozen for longer than three days should be disposed of. Leaflets were handed out at various locations throughout the city of Dhaka, and awareness banners were erected with festoons. On 15th, the Rotary Clubs of Gulshan Tigers and Dhaka East held an awareness programme.
